Lead Investigator: Aya Haneda Institution : Roosevelt University E-Mail : ahaneda@mail.roosevelt.edu Proposal ID : 1499 Proposal Description: The goal for this research is to examine the association between blood pressure and body mass index on the clinical progression by race in Dementia. I will also be examining other factors like years of education on whether racial disparities of obtaining reduce, thus affecting slower progression of symptoms of cognitive decline exist. The hypothesis being tested is that there is differences between race on BMI and blood pressure to cognitive decline, and that higher years of education would affect progression of cognitive decline. I want to challenge racial disparities on help seeking behavior and being able to obtain appropriate medical treatment.
